The reason parecon intrigues me is because it is all about creating the best desires by building a structure that incentivizes good desires - unlike, say, capitalism, which incentivizes cheating and greed. Also, remuneration is mostly focused on things outside our control (genes, family, luck) rather than things under our control as in parecon (length of work, difficulty of work, onerousness/danger of working conditions).
